【英语中国】丰田在华汽配厂工人本周罢工

A second Japanese automaker has been hit by labour unrest in China, as workers at a Toyota-related components factory in Tianjin walked off the job for two days this week.

The strike at a plant operated by Toyota Gosei, a Toyota affiliate that makes steering wheels and other rubber and resin parts, followed labour action at three Honda suppliers in the country. Those strikes disrupted production at several Honda assembly plants in southern China.

Toyota said its Chinese production had not been affected by the strike, which like the walkouts at Honda and a number of other foreign manufacturers was centered on demands for higher pay.

The strike began on Tuesday and was resolved on Wednesday with an agreement in principle “to review the pay structure” at the factory, Toyota Gosei said. It said no specific wage increase had been agreed.The plant was operating normally on Thursday, Toyota Gosei said.

Company officials in Tokyo said they did not know how many of the factory’s 800 workers had participated in the strike. Toyota Gosei operates more than 10 manufacturing facilities in China, but it said it was not aware of any similar action at other plants.

丰田表示，罢工没有影响到其在中国的生产。与本田及其它几家外国制造商的罢工工人一样，丰田合成工人的核心要求也是更高的薪酬。

丰田合成表示，这次罢工开始于周二，在厂方原则上同意“重新评估工资结构”之后，周三得到解决。该公司表示，厂方与工人并没有就具体的加薪幅度达成一致。

该公司在东京的管理层表示，并不清楚这家天津工厂的约800位工人中，有多少参与了罢工。丰田合成在中国运营着10多家工厂，但表示在其它工厂中尚未出现类似的劳工行动。
